What does a session consist of?
We always start with a free consultation to gain a complete understanding of your situation and the circumstances that have lead to you seeking help with your problem.
This is vital so that we can treat you in the most effective way.
We will always do our best to fit in hypnotherapy on the first session, but there may be occasions when there is not enough time following the consultation to provide an effective hypnotherapy session. In this situation we will arrange a second session as soon as possible to begin hypnotherapy work.
Subsequent session will consist of a catch up to establish progress from the previous meeting and then hypnotherapy to continue reinforcing the treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
The length and type of treatment plan is always tailored to the individual client, but you see a guide of how many sessions for a particular type of problem within those pages on this website.
At the beginning of each session we will review together the progress being made and the continuing treatment plan.
Hypnotherapy is fast impacting compared to other sorts of treatments, and you will improve at the rate at which your subconscious is comfortable to change.
To get the most efficient results it is important that you are ready to commit to the sessions, keeping regular appointments and following the guidance provided in the sessions.
Will I feel the changes? How do I know it’s working?
This is entirely dependent on the issue being addressed.
With an issue such as smoking, you’ll see an immediate change as you will leave the session a non-smoker!
For depressive or anxiety therapy you may find the changes are more retrospective, and you notice upon reflection at the next session that your week has been easier to manage or you’ve done things that you hadn’t considered possible the week before.
Quite often we find that other people notice and comment on the change before our clients!
I’m unsure about it, do I have to commit?
We offer an initial free telephone consultation with a therapist so that you can ask any questions you may have and we can help you see how hypnotherapy can aid you to overcome your problem.
There is no contract or tie-in when you begin therapy. We do however ask for 24 hours cancellation notice as a common courtesy, and we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the session fee after this point to cover our costs so we're not out of pocket.
Hypnotherapy is an investment in yourself that you are choosing to make.
In many cases the cost of any treatment will be offset by the cessation of a bad habit such as smoking, alcohol, drugs, junk food or shopping - just think how much you will save in the long run by removing these things from your life!
